Tech N9ne, one of the most diligent men in hip hop recently announced that he’s geared up to release a new album later this year. This will be the veteran emcee’s 11th solo studio album and it’s titled The Storm. Tech made the announcement via his Instagram account, where he told his fans to get ready for a storm. He posted a picture with the following caption:

"I don’t fit the part for mainstream cause I’m rougher only time they wanna look like me is Halloween mutha f—a! (I GET IT NOW) THE STORM, 9/9/16"

Tech N9ne is well respected as one of the few artists who have built a huge fan base independently through his label, Strange Music. He’s also one of the best known chopper-style rappers; matched by few. His previous, Special Effects album did very well commercially managing to sell over 74,000 copies in the United States and peaking at the fourth position on the US Bilboard 200 chart, as well as number 1 on the US Independent Albums, and US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The album was very heavy on features with the likes of Yo Gotti, E-40, 2 Chainz, B.o.B., fellow weirdo Hopsin, and fellow chopper Eminem contributing verses to the project. However, that’s not the only project Tech released last year. He also released the collaboration album Strangeulation Vol. II which showcases various Strange Music artists such as Krizz Kaliko, Rittz, and Murs.

There are rumors that Chris Brown might be featured on a track titled Mid Cuff on the upcoming album, but that’s yet to be confirmed. The tracklist and album art are yet to be released. Seeing as it’s scheduled for a September 9th release there’s plenty of time for him to do that.

Tech N9ne is currently on a tour of the United States which kicked off on the 30th of March 2016, and is expected to wrap up on the 27th of May later this year. The remaining tour dates are below just in case you may be interested in patronizing one of his shows:
